ACC is considering the development of a compensation survey focused on smaller law departments (less than 10 attorneys) in association with an outside survey vendor. The survey will have the following characteristics: (1) Will provide compensation data on a hierarchy of positions such as Top Legal Executive, Managing Attorney, Attorneys, Paralegals, and Administrative Assistants; (2) Information collected will include base salary, annual bonus, long term incentives, and basic budget information (inside/outside spending); (3) Credible entity-based collection of data (as opposed to self-reported individual data); (4) Data will be reported job-by-job by industry, revenue size, geography, size of department, and budget.
